In our spare time . . .

Because of our sailing schedule, we found ourselves ashore on Saturday for the Maine Lobster Festival Parade. Initially, I was planning to just be a spectator but at the last minute decided that being IN the parade might be good exposure for both of our boats. With the help of several people (Tracy, Bob, Aiden, Jay, Mark, Kira, Sue, and Megan) we were able to get a float together and pass out candy and special $1 bills (for $1 off a tour aboard M/V Rendezvous). It was a lot of work but it was also a lot of fun!

Lined up and putting the finishing touches on our float.

Brian and I pose with our finished float.

And then Mark, Jay, me, Aiden, and Kira do the same!

Thanks to a last-minute suggestion by Evans guest (and PR specialist!) Lori Booker, we had our very own QR code. We had it on the back of our "Got Lobstah" t-shirts and on the sides of the truck. Scan it and go directly to our web site!

Even though the day started out gray and cool, the sun came out and heated things up nicely. There were thousands of people watching the parade and we hope to see some of them aboard Rendezvous and Isaac H. Evans someday!

Special thanks to Tracy for the photos!
